Quality Inspector

We have an opening in Dallas, NC for an experienced quality inspector.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Document and report any quality issues or non-conformances to the appropriate department.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, confirming re-work.
• Fill out job travelers, time sheets, inspection documents and any other paperwork associated with the part.
• Check parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications using proper gauges.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests and quality metrics.
Requirements:
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality inspecting in a machining and fabrication environment required.
• Previous experience with quality systems and standards such as ISO 9001.
• Must own tools for daily tasks (i.e. micrometers, calipers, edge finders, etc.) preferred
• Read and interpret blueprints and work order instructions.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Basic math skills.
• Must be able to take verbal and written instructions and work from handmade sketches.
• Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast pace work environment.
