Mancan Staffing, in partnership with a local recycling refinery in Cambridge, is seeking dedicated Production Workers to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a heavy manufacturing environment with room for growth.
Production Worker – Recycling Refinery
Location: Cambridge, OH
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Shift: 8-hour swing/rotating shifts, including weekends
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
* Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement in daily operations.
* Operate production equipment such as electric arc furnaces, roasters, system controls, and mobile machinery as needed.
* Maximize productivity and equipment uptime to ensure quality and timely delivery of products.
* Participate in team-based problem solving and decision-making activities.
* Support operational and process improvements using lean manufacturing principles, including 6S.
* Communicate effectively with team members to create a high-performing work environment.
Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred; steel or hot metal experience a plus.
* Previous heavy equipment operating experience (loader, dozer, forklift, dump truck) strongly preferred.
* Strong team player with adaptability to change.
* Knowledge of or willingness to learn lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work 12-hour swing/rotating shifts, including weekends.
* Capable of working in hot and cold environments with rapidly changing temperatures.
* Physically able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
* Strong work ethic, attention to detail, punctuality, and reliability are essential.
