Line Cook

A great local restaurant is looking for a Line Cook in the Newcomerstown area.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies
-open & close the restaurant: warm, things up, short order cook, prep, put product away
- Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs
-Read order tickets
Qualifications/Skills:
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- Ability to work as a team member
- Follows directions and instructions
Must have experience working in a kitchen & know how a kitchen operates. The hours are Thursday, Friday & Saturday 9am-9pm (during training, after fully trained it will most likely start at 10am) & Sunday 9 or 10am-2:30pm. The pay rate is $13/hr. This is temp to hire.
