A Norton company that has been a trusted name in custom machining and fabrication for over 65 years is currently seeking a skilled Welder to join their team of experienced craftsmen.
8am-4p Monday-Friday
Starting pay of $30/hr.
This is a full time, long term opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
Fit and assemble components accurately before welding, ensuring proper alignment and tolerances.
Layout, measure, cut, and prepare materials for fabrication and assembly.
Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality, accuracy, and durability.
Collaborate with machinists, fabricators, and other team members to complete custom projects on time.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Welder Fitter in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
Skilled in layout, fitting, and assembly techniques.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Knowledge of safety practices and proper use of welding/fabrication equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must pass a pre employment background and drug screen.
