CNC Machinist

A company in Fredericktown is in search of a highly skilled CNC Machinist or Programmer, is that you?! This is a temp to hire position on 1st Shift, and doesn't come available often, so call Mancan TODAY!
The hours are M-F 6:00am-4:30pm, some Saturdays from 5am-11am
Starting wage is $21hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and CAD designs
- Set up CNC machines, tools, and materials for each job
- Write, edit, and improve CNC programs to increase efficiency
-Use CAD/CAM software to create accurate machining programs
-Determine cutting paths, speeds, tools, and tolerances
- Run test simulations and inspect first-run parts for accuracy
-Monitor machines during production and troubleshoot any issues
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
-Assist in sub-assembly and final assembly tasks as needed
-Train or support less experienced machinists when required
-Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
Required Skills & Abilities:
-Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of machining processes
-Ability to read and understand technical blueprints and drawings
-Skilled in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Proficient in CNC programming and CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 preferred)
-Detail-focused with strong problem-solving and math skills
-Able to manage time well and handle multiple tasks
- Works well independently and communicates clearly with the team
-Committed to producing high-quality work and improving processes
-Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and operate machines for long periods
Education & Experience:
-High school diploma or GED required
-Technical school certificate or associate’s degree in CNC or machining preferred
-Minimum 2 years of CNC and manual machining experience
-Valid driver’s license required
-Combination of education and experience may be considered
