Material Handler 1st Shift Salem OH
Candidate will be required to submit to a pre-employment hair follicle drug test and will be subject to a felony/criminal background check.
Functions & Responsibilities
Picking, packing, and preparing product to ship based on customer orders.
Count, select, and sort metal parts to be prepared for shipping to customers.
Handle parts to and from trucks, pallets, containers, totes, and boxes.
Ability to operate a computer and ERP software.
Follow directions of management and be able to change gears quickly based on our fast-paced production schedule and environment.
Any other duties as assigned.
Other Responsibilities
The job requires heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) on a frequent basis, standing for the full duration of the shift, full range of motion (including but not limited to bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be active and requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling and kneeling.
The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 50 pounds.
The employee will be required to work in all types of weather conditions.
Maintain proper housekeeping and organization in the warehouse and work area.
Committed to assuring that all work is performed in a safe and professional manner.
Qualifications
Experience in the use of a forklift or pallet jack.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be organized and able to manage paperwork.
