## **Sales Consultant – Automotive Sales**
### **Position Summary**
The Sales Consultant is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience from initial contact through vehicle delivery and post-sale follow-up. This role focuses on relationship-building, understanding customer needs, and guiding customers through a transparent, customer-focused buying process.
### **Key Responsibilities**
* Communicate with customers via email, text, and phone using incoming leads through dealership software.
* Follow the dealership’s established sales and negotiation process.
* Facilitate conversations at the customer’s pace to uncover preferences, needs, and buying motivations.
* Match customer needs with appropriate vehicle models and equipment, presenting vehicles based on customer interests.
* Present vehicles and accompany customers on test drives.
* Complete the vehicle delivery process, ensuring customers fully understand their purchase.
* Conduct post-delivery follow-up to support customer satisfaction and retention.
* Coordinate with the Service and Parts departments to ensure customer requests are fulfilled.
Compensation & Bonus Structure
**Base Pay**
* **$2,000 Monthly Salary**
*(This is not a draw.)*
**Fast Start Bonuses** *(Stackable)*
* **$300 Fast Start Bonus**
– 2 vehicles sold and delivered by the **7th of the month**
* **$700 Fast Start Bonus**
– 8 vehicles sold and delivered by the **15th of the month**
> *Fast Start Bonuses are stackable but must meet both criteria to receive both payouts. All Fast Start Bonuses must be signed off by a Manager to be paid.*
**Unit Bonus Program**
* Unit bonuses begin **starting with Unit 6**
* **No payout on Units 1–5**
**To qualify for Unit Bonus payout, all 3 requirements must be met:**
1. Company training and requirements completed and up to date
2. NPS (Net Promoter Score) of **85% or higher**
3. MyMazda App enrollment of **85% or higher**
**Unit Bonus Levels (New & Used Combined)**
* **6–10 Units:** $225 per unit
* **11–14 Units:** $250 per unit
* **15–18 Units:** $300 per unit
* **19–20 Units:** $350 per unit
* **21–25 Units:** $400 per unit
* **Over 25 Units:** Bonus to be determined
**Additional Pay Details**
* Lease buyouts **do not count** as sold units or toward unit bonuses
* Lease buyouts pay a **$50 courtesy delivery fee**
* Split units count as **½ unit** (no rounding up)
* May qualify for additional spiffs and incentives
* Monthly & quarterly sales bonus programs available
