Mancan is working with a company in Dundee looking for a wide belt sander operator. This is a temp to hire opportunity. Hours are Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm with overtime as needed. The pay is $20 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a wide belt sanding machine to sand production parts
- Inspect parts to ensure proper sanding quality and surface finish
- Feed parts through the machine in the correct order to support three different production lines
- Accurately read and use a tape measure, including working with decimals
- Keep parts organized on carts and maintain accurate paperwork
- Monitor machine performance and make sure parts are sanded correctly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications
- Ability to learn new processes and production orders
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable using a tape measure and working with decimals
- Ability to follow work instructions and maintain part flow
- Prior manufacturing or sanding experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods of time
