Mancan Staffing is currently seeking **Production Operators** for a well-established **plastic manufacturing facility specializing in plastic preforms used in food and beverage packaging** located in Donora, PA. 🕒 Work Schedule
This position follows a **rotating 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule** in a **24/7 production facility**, alternating between **4 weeks of daylight shifts and 4 weeks of night shifts**.
**Week 1**
• Work Monday & Tuesday
• Off Wednesday & Thursday
• Work Friday, Saturday & Sunday
**Week 2**
• Off Monday & Tuesday
• Work Wednesday & Thursday
• Off Friday, Saturday & Sunday
This schedule includes **built-in overtime** and requires availability for **weekends and holidays**.
🔧 Position Summary
As a **Production Operator**, you will operate and monitor automated machinery used to manufacture **plastic preforms** that are later molded into bottles and containers for the food and beverage industry. You will ensure equipment is running safely and efficiently while maintaining strict quality standards.
Candidates with **experience operating automated production equipment** are preferred. **Experience working with plastics, injection molding, or preform manufacturing environments is a strong plus.**
✅ Responsibilities
• Start up, operate, monitor, and shut down automated production equipment
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain quality and efficiency
• Inspect **plastic preforms and closures** for defects and quality standards
• Identify and perform basic troubleshooting on machinery when needed
• Prepare, label, and pack finished products according to production specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines
• Complete production logs and quality documentation accurately
• Communicate with supervisors and team members during shift changes
• Recommend process or safety improvements when identified
🎓 Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• **1–2 years of experience operating automated machinery in manufacturing**
• **Experience working with plastics or plastic injection molding is preferred**
• Basic **mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability**
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to stand for **12-hour shifts**
• Ability to **lift up to 25 lbs.**
• Dependable and able to work **rotating day/night shifts**
