Machine Operator
We are seeking an experienced Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position operates a horizontal bandsaw cutting materials for CNC production.
In addition to saw operation, this role may support general CNC production and finishing operations. This is a hands-on position requiring precision, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Our products are used in electrical power distribution equipment, so quality and accuracy matter. Schedule• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Responsibilities
• Operate a horizontal bandsaw to cut stock to production specifications
• Read and interpret work orders and production documents
• Select proper materials based on job requirements
• Measure and verify cut dimensions to ensure accuracy
• Perform basic machine setup and adjustments
• Conduct quality inspections of finished cuts
Additional Production Support May Include:
• Load raw materials or parts into preset CNC machines
• Operate CNC equipment for basic production runs (no programming required)
• Sandblast components as required
• Buff and finish parts to meet quality standards
• Assist with material handling and staging of jobs
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs
Qualifications
• Minimum 1+ year experience operating saws, CNC equipment, or similar production machinery
• Experience with horizontal bandsaws or panel saws preferred
• Basic CNC machine operation experience preferred (loading/unloading parts)
• Ability to read measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and positive attitude
• Ability to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Standing for extended periods
• Frequent bending, reaching, and material handling
• Overtime as required based on production demands
