Mancan Staffing is hiring Machinists in Washington, PA!
We are recruiting experienced **CNC and Manual Machinists** for a reputable **industrial equipment manufacturer serving the steel industry**. This company primarily supports steel mills with repair and fabrication of large components. This is a **temp-to-perm opportunity** with excellent pay based on experience.
Pay: $30–$35/hour plus $2.50/hour shift differential when working 2nd shift.
Schedule (rotating weekly):
Week 1: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM + 6 hours on Saturday
Week 2: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM (4x10s) + 8 hours on Friday
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and operate a variety of machining equipment, including:
* CNC horizontal and vertical mills
* CNC vertical and horizontal lathes
* Manual mills and lathes
* Machine and fabricate large parts to specification
* Read and interpret blueprints accurately
* Use precision measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers (inside/outside), calipers, and depth mics
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
* 8–10 years of manual machining experience
* Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
* Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude
* Ability to follow directions and work well with a team
* Excellent attendance and reliability
* Valid driver’s license
* Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
Safety & Equipment:
* Understand job hazards and follow all safety procedures
* Report unsafe conditions immediately
* Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided)
* Perform pre-use inspections on cranes, rigging, straps, and chains
* Follow proper lifting procedures and maintain awareness of surroundings
