Lead Operator – 1st Shift (Temp-to-Hire Opportunity)
Mancan Staffing, in partnership with an Ashtabula City facility, is hiring a Lead Operator. This position offers a starting pay of $20/hour with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidat*.
📅 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM
💲 Pay: Starting at $19/hour
🔹 Position Overview 🔹
The Lead Operator will oversee daily operations while working hands-on with machinery to ensure quality production. This role requires leadership experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage workflow efficiently.
🔹 Key Responsibilities 🔹
* Lead and support team members on the production floor
* Read and follow work orders accurately
* Operate machinery and assist in producing quality parts
* Ensure proper machine setup and safe operation
* Communicate effectively with team members and management
* Inspect parts for thickness, chromate, and proper packaging
* Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
* Keep production lines running efficiently
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
🔹 Qualifications 🔹
* Previous*leadership experience required
* Experience reading and interpreting work orders
* Towmotor (forklift) experience required
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
* Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Team-oriented with strong communication skills
🔹 Work Environment & Physical Demands 🔹
* Manufacturing setting with required PPE
* Moderate noise levels
* Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
* Must be able to perform physical tasks throughout the shift
