Class A CDL Driver

Mancan Staffing is hiring a Class A CDL Driver for a Steubenville manufacturing facility! The pay is based on experience starting at $23.00. With a 6:30am – 4:30pm schedule, drivers would be home every night. The Class A CDL driver carries a HAZMAT card with a Tanker Endorsement to safely transport and deliver products to local customer sites. This includes dock deliveries and pick-ups, as well as delivering including transfers on site with unloading hoses and pumps to customer containers or tanks. Drivers would cover over a 200-mile radius from the company warehouses. Drivers are home every night, with little weekend work required
Drivers are responsible for completing log books, placarding trucks, strapping material down, and housekeeping inside of trailer and cab.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operation of semi-truck including daily pre and post trip truck inspections, fuel maintenance, and reporting of any damages to supervisor
• Safely operate a tractor/trailer combination complying with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations in an urban and rural environment and in all weather conditions
• Housekeeping of inside of truck and trailer
• Sweeping out trailer as needed and maintaining a clean and orderly truck
• Ensure all product documents are present and comply with current DOT and HAZMAT regulations
• Placarding truck correctly
• Pickup and delivery of chemicals to and from customer locations, adhering to customer loading and unloading times and procedures
• Operations of manual and electric pallet jack
• Employ customer service skills so as to call dock operators to confirm appointment times
• Provide DOT with required information during inspections and stops
• Loading and unloading delivery trucks
• Transfer of chemicals to onsite storage tanks
• Forklift operation
• Other duties as assigned including warehousing duties such as labeling and unloading tankers
Requirements:
• Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement
• Ability to lift, push, and wheel 55+ pounds
• Experience with forklift
• Previous chemical handling experience preferred
• Satisfactory completion of DOT physical and drug screen required.
