Production Team Leader

BARBERTON MANCAN TEMPORARY STAFFING EMPLOYMENT AGENCY is assisting a unionized, local, Barberton rubber manufacturing company seeking a dependable, 1st shift Team Lead.
Position Title: 1st Shift Team Lead
Schedule: 5:45am-4:15pm, Mon-Thurs. Work Fridays when needed.
Pay Range: $22-$25/hour, based off of skill sets.
Responsibilities:
1. First piece, and hourly, quality checking in the press room and the trim room.
2. Setting written daily production goals for team members, based off of customer needs, and tracking production against the goals. Collecting the written tracking sheets at the end of every day and ensuring accuracy.
3. Manage the tracking of parts through our work cells, alerting when there is an issue that may lead to a missed promise ship date.
4. Assist in production planning.
5. Do the metal insert receiving process with the approved AS9100 receiving form.
6. Cycle count customer owned materials.
7. Ensure compliance paperwork is being used correctly.
8. React to failure trends immediately with corrective actions.
9. Ensuring that office-generated shipping paperwork is correct and given to the packer with any specific instructions that are needed. Checking with the packer regularly to ensure accuracy.
10. Lead continuous improvement efforts related to quality, productivity, and our suppliers’ regulatory needs for AS/ISO compliance.
Desired Experience:
Rubber vulcanizing
Heat press molding, preferably rubber
Planning production
Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
HR software (managing time sheets, PTO requests, performance reviews, etc.)
Customer Service
Quality Management. ISO specifically
Supervision experience with at least 5 direct reports
